About Us

The community fridge project began like the stars align in the sky. Several organizations, independently were in search of a mission to feed those who were food insecure. The initial meeting of two local community organizers led us to more and the inspiration grew like a meteor crossing overhead. The momentum had begun.

As a result this initial union forged together through our mission partner “Saving Grace” and Local Crow Indivisible and Timothy Lutheran Church were introduced. Both were in search of a feasible way to bring a new way to offer perishable food to the food insecure in our community. New partnership formed when introduce to the HSAC organization in Council Bluffs and many new partners and organizations were added to the initiative.
